ORANGE, NJ — NJ Transit resumed rail service with delays on the Morris and Essex lines on Monday, following a suspension caused by a fire in Essex County. The incident occurred in a vacant building on Center Street in Orange around 8 p.m. Monday.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to control the fire, which erupted in a building that has been unoccupied for several years. Despite its vacancy, local residents reported the presence of squatters in the building.
Currently, authorities are investigating the origins of the fire. There have been no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
