No Leaves in the Roadways, Holmdel Reminds Residents

HOLMDEL, NJ – The Holmdel Township Police Department has reminded residents of the township’s ordinance regarding leaf disposal, following observations of hazardous conditions caused by leaf piles blocking roadway lanes. According to the ordinance, residents must not place leaf piles in the road or on sidewalks.

Additionally, if residents employ a company for leaf cleanup, it is the responsibility of that company to remove the leaves. For information about leaf pickup schedules, residents should contact Holmdel Public Works.

Any violations concerning leaf pile placement should be reported to Holmdel Code Enforcement.

The reminder is aimed at ensuring public safety and keeping roadways and sidewalks clear.
