Norfolk Woman Sought in Connection to July 2 Shooting

NORFOLK, VA – Detectives are on the lookout for Ashley S. Lewis, a 26-year-old woman from Norfolk, wanted in relation to a shooting that occurred on Sunday. The Norfolk Police Department was alerted to a gunshot disturbance in the 1000 block of E. Liberty Street around 2:55 am.

On arrival, officers found a 35-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is now stable. The investigation led to charges against Lewis, including malicious wounding, use of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and discharge of a firearm in public.

The Norfolk Police Department requests that anyone with information on Lewis’s whereabouts to contact the Norfolk Crime Line.
