North Philadelphia Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Five Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A shooting occurred in North Philadelphia’s Fairhill section on Tuesday night, resulting in two fatalities and five injuries.

Philadelphia Police responded to reports of gunfire at the 3200 block of North Fairhill Street, near Allegheny Avenue, at approximately 8:30 p.m. At the scene, it was determined that at least 70 shots had been fired.

Seven men, aged between 19 and 38, were struck by the gunfire. Two victims, identified as 31-year-old Roger Marquez and 38-year-old Leon Pierre, succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

The other five victims, aged 19, 30, 33, 33, and 34, are in varying conditions, with some in critical state. Interim Police Commissioner John Stanford confirmed the recovery of several firearms at the scene.

While the motive is still under investigation, narcotics were found at the location. The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking information from the public and encourages anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact them.
