NORWALK, CT – A Norwalk attorney, Carl Ferraro, 57, was taken into custody by Norwalk Police Detectives for stealing money from his clients, according to a statement released by the department today.

According to police allegations, in March of 2022, the department received numerous complaints against real estate attorney Carl Ferraro that he had withheld money from clients during real estate closings.

“During a lengthy investigation by the Detective Bureau that involved over half a dozen victims, it was determined that Ferraro would facilitate home closings on behalf of the selling parties, and would keep the money given to him that was intended for the sellers. Ferraro is alleged to have stolen over $1,000,000 from his clients,” the department said.

He is being held on a $4.3 million bond.
