NOTTINGHAM, Md. — A Baltimore County woman who recently moved from New York claimed a $57,777 top prize on the Lucky 7s Tripler scratch-off, Maryland Lottery officials announced.

She bought the winning ticket while shopping for groceries at the Giant on 8905 Belair Road in Nottingham, then confirmed her win multiple times before scheduling a prize claim appointment at Maryland Lottery headquarters on July 1.

The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said she normally spends $20 every other week on tickets and was shocked by the big win.

She told lottery officials she plans to focus on paying bills for now and intends to continue playing on her usual schedule.

The Giant location will receive a $577.77 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
