NYC health department employee arrested on forgery charge

BRONX, NY — An off-duty New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene employee was arrested Thursday evening in the Bronx on charges related to possessing a forged document.

According to authorities, 35-year-old Hazma Abdul Rahman was taken into custody at approximately 6:36 p.m. within the confines of the NYPD’s 44th Precinct. He was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree.

Details regarding the alleged forged document have not been disclosed. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has not released a statement regarding the arrest.
