NYC probation officer arrested in East Village assault

New York, NY – An off-duty New York City probation officer was arrested early Sunday morning after a reported altercation in the East Village, police said.

At 12:37 a.m., officers from the 9th Precinct took Beverly Guzman, 36, into custody. She was identified as an employee of the city’s Department of Probation.
