She fought to call 911, but the attacker snatched her cellphone and threw it over the escalator side before fleeing the station on foot. The man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. NEW YORK, NY – A subway worker was assaulted early Monday morning at the 242 Street and Van Cortlandt Park subway station. At approximately 3:40 AM, an unidentified female assailant approached the 44-year-old victim and sprayed her with an unknown substance while she was cleaning the station.

The victim sustained eye injuries and was transported by EMS to Allen Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition. The assailant fled the scene immediately following the attack.
