NYC Taxi Passenger Shoots At Cab Driver During Dispute

BRONX, NY – A taxi driver narrowly escaped injury early Friday morning when a dispute with a passenger led to gunfire in the Bronx.

The incident was reported at around 3:56 AM near Bronx Boulevard and Carpenter Avenue. During the altercation, the passenger, described as a male between 19 to 25 years old with a light complexion and slim build, abruptly exited the moving taxi and fired a shot at the vehicle, hitting the passenger door.

He was last seen wearing a black vest and black jeans, fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Fortunately, the 26-year-old male taxi driver was not injured. Police are currently seeking the suspect and have asked for the public’s assistance in locating him.
