Manhattan Powerball ticket hits $100K prize with Power Play win
A Powerball ticket sold on Manhattan’s Upper East Side delivered a six-figure payout following Monday night’s drawing.
New York, NY – A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Manhattan for Monday’s drawing, according to the New York Lottery. The ticket was purchased at News Stand, located at 170 East 68th Street.
The winning ticket included the Power Play option, which increases non-jackpot prizes by multiplying base winnings. Lottery officials confirmed the ticket matched enough numbers to secure the third-tier prize in the April 6 drawing.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with numbers selected from a field of one through 69 and a separate Powerball drawn from one through 26.
Power Play boosts non-jackpot winnings
The Power Play feature allows players to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times, depending on the multiplier drawn. “When purchased, the Power Play option provides players with a chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times,” the New York Lottery said.
The New York Lottery also highlighted its broader impact across the state. “The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2024-2025 to benefit public schools in New York State,” the agency stated.
Officials continue to promote responsible play and support services. “New Yorkers struggling with a gambling addiction, or who know someone who is, can find help at NYProblemGamblingHelp.org,” the Lottery said, noting additional support is available through the HOPEline.
