NYCHA employee arrested for forcible touching on Upper East Side

NEW YORK — A New York City Housing Authority employee was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with forcible touching, police said.

Hector Cruz, 55, was taken into custody at approximately 4:05 p.m. within the confines of the 19th Precinct, which covers parts of the Upper East Side.

Authorities did not provide additional details about the incident leading to Cruz’s arrest.

As an employee of NYCHA, Cruz works for the city agency responsible for managing public housing developments across New York City.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information was immediately available.
