NYPD Announces Reward for Dangerous Fugitive Wanted for Double Murder, Arson

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department responded to a deadly scene in the aftermath of a fire to discover two people dead, murdered inside the debris.

On May 16, 2022, at around 4:19 a.m., police were alerted to a vehicle ablaze on Shore Road near Pelham Split Rock Course, in the Bronx.

Upon their arrival, a sedan was found alight at the roadside. Firefighters, who were already present, managed to douse the flames, only to make a grim discovery of two unidentified bodies inside the vehicle. Both individuals were declared deceased at the location by EMS.

Today, the NYPD announced a total reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of one of the fugitives wanted in that incident.

CrimeStoppers will offer up to $3,500 upon the arrest and indictment of the responsible individual(s), while the NYPD pledges an additional $6,500 upon arrest and conviction.

Jahmel Sanders, a 31-year-old male residing at 105 Baruch Drive, New York, NY, is faced with multiple charges. These charges include Murder, Manslaughter, Robbery, Grand Larceny, Kidnapping, Arson, Criminal Use of a Firearm, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Sanders is described as a 30-year-old male, standing at 5’7″ and weighing around 150 pounds.

22-year-olds Jessie Parrilla and Nikki Huang were both found dead in the car, murdered, allegedly by Sanders.
