NYPD Arrest Suspect in 169th Street Station Attack

QUEENS, NY — An arrest has been made in connection with an assault that occurred on the northbound F train platform at the 169th Street subway station, located at Home Lawn Street and Hillside Avenue. On Friday, April 12, at about 3:26 AM, a 37-year-old male was reportedly punched twice in the face following a verbal altercation with another individual on the platform.

The victim sustained minor injuries to the mouth but declined medical attention at the scene.

Devon Pennant, a 27-year-old resident of 193 Ashburn Avenue in Queens, was apprehended on Wednesday, May 1, at 4:00 PM by officers of the 103 Precinct. He has been charged with third-degree assault, as per police reports. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the incident.
