NYPD arrests suspect wanted for the death of Marquis Lane in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the city’s 42nd Precinct have arrested 30-year-old Aaron Renee for the murder of 31-year-old Marquis Lane. Lane was found shot by police on February 7 in the area of Park Avenue and East 167th Street.

He was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to police, officers responded to a shots fired 911 call at around 9 am. Officers found Lane unconscious and unresponsive when they arrived, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln by FNDY EMS, and later pronounced dead.
