NYPD arrests suspect who stormed church, robbed pastor and parishoners

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department’s ongoing investigation into a robbery on Sunday, July 24, 2022, led to the arrest of two individuals. Juwan Anderson, 23, and Sayquan Pollack, 23, have been arrested and charged in connection to the crime.

The robbery occurred around 11:14 am during a church service at Leader’s of Tomorrow International Ministry located at 922 Remsen Avenue.

Three unidentified individuals reportedly stormed the church, brandishing firearms and demanding property from a 44-year-old male pastor and his 38-year-old wife. Approximately $600,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from the couple.

The suspects then escaped in a white Mercedes Benz heading east on Avenue D. Neither victim was injured during the incident.

The NYPD continues its efforts to identify and apprehend the third individual involved in the robbery.
