NYPD identifies man killed in Saturday morning Queens stabbing

NEW YORK – Jonathan Gantt, a 41-year-old male residing at 213-20 102 Avenue in Queens, NY, has been identified as the victim in a stabbing incident that occurred on Saturday, May 6, at approximately 5:24 am.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting the incident at 214-57 Jamaica Avenue, in front of a deli, in the jurisdiction of the 105 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a stab wound to the leg, and he was immediately transported to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital by EMS. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 68-year-old male was taken into custody from 214-53 Jamaica Avenue, and charges are pending against him.
