NYPD Identifies Man Stabbed and Killed Saturday Morning in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY – A 61-year-old man was found fatally stabbed early Saturday morning following a reported assault at a Brooklyn address. Police identified the victim as Laurence Hopkins of 997 Dekalb Avenue.

Authorities were called to 140 Graham Avenue in the 90th Precinct around 1:08 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about an assault in progress. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Hopkins with a stab wound to his neck.

Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene and transported Hopkins to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with police working to determine the circumstances leading up to the assault.
