NEW YORK, NY — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot multiple times in the chest on Sunday night. The incident occurred at 2971 8th Avenue, prompting police response to a distressing 911 call.
Upon their arrival, officers found Kenneth Taveras with critical injuries. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln by EMS, Taveras was pronounced dead.
The case remains open with no arrests made as the investigation continues.
