NYPD Investigating Assault and Robbery at East Tremont Station

NEW YORK, NY—A 57-year-old man was assaulted and robbed while aboard a southbound “2” train at the East Tremont-West Farms subway station on Tuesday. The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 AM.

The victim was approached by an unidentified person who punched him in the face and forcibly took his bag. After the assault, the assailant fled the scene on foot to an unknown location. Emergency medical services treated the victim at the scene.
