NYPD Investigating Homicide After Death Of 2-Month-Old Barnegat Boy

STATEN ISLAND, NY — NYPD detectives have classified a tragic death at 15 Arden Avenue in Staten Island on Wednesday, March 8 as a homicide.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and an active investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.

At approximately 12:01 p.m., law enforcement responded to a distress call reporting an unconscious infant inside the residence, located within the jurisdiction of the 123rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2-month-old male, identified as Paulie Khan, of Barnegat, New Jersey, in an unconscious and unresponsive state.

No apparent signs of physical trauma were immediately evident.

Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the infant to Staten Island University South Hospital.

Doctors at the hospital pronounced the young child deceased.
