NYPD Makes Arrest in Deadly Bronx Armed Robbery

NEW YORK, NY — In a violent altercation on March 31, at 4:20 AM, inside a store located at 851 East Tremont Avenue, a 29-year-old male was fatally shot in the thigh.

The shooter, after a failed attempt to rob the victim and displaying a firearm, fled the scene on foot westbound on East Tremont Avenue. The victim, transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

He was later identified as 29-year-old Stefon Barnes.

The assailant is described as a male with a medium complexion, standing between 5’10” and 6’0″ tall with a medium build, last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweatpants, and a black hoodie. Authorities have identified 31-year-old male Bee, Sh-Ward, as a suspect wanted in connection with this tragic incident.
