NYPD Officer Arrested and Charged with Assault in Queens

QUEENS, NY — An NYPD officer was arrested and charged with assault in Queens, police confirmed.

Javaughn Rowe, a 30-year-old NYPD police officer, was taken into custody within the 107th Precinct.

Rowe has been charged with assault in the third degree.

Details surrounding the incident leading to the charge have not been disclosed.

The NYPD stated the investigation is ongoing.
