NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 27-year-old female reported an attempted rape in Prospect Park on Monday, around 9:15 pm. According to the New York City Police Department, an unidentified male approached her in the vicinity of Dog Beach and Fallkill Falls.
The man reportedly lifted up the woman’s skirt and tried to pull down her underwear, then pushed her to the ground. He fled on foot shortly after. The victim suffered minor lacerations to her knees and feet but refused medical assistance.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, with a medium complexion and build, and was possibly last seen wearing a white hat.
