NYPD Seeking Suspects in Multiple Burglaries

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying individuals connected to a string of burglaries in the vicinity of 222 Street and 143 Avenue.

Incident #1 occurred on Monday, July 24, around 4:40 a.m. An unidentified male tried to break into a residence but was unsuccessful and fled on foot. No injuries were reported, but the door suffered damage.

Incident #2 took place on last Tuesday, approximately at 3:06 p.m. Two unidentified males broke into a residence via the basement door. They stole personal items and about $300 before fleeing on foot. Again, no injuries were reported.

Incident #3 occurred on Wednesday, at approximately 12:01 a.m. An unidentified individual attempted to set fire to an occupied building by hurling a burning plastic container of flammable liquid through a broken window. No injuries or property damage has been reported at this time.

The NYPD has provided descriptions of the two sought individuals, both thought to be males aged 18 to 20. The first suspect is of medium build, last seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark gray pants, white sneakers, a black facemask, black gloves, and carrying a multi-colored backpack. The second suspect is of slim build, last seen in a black hoodie, black pants, black sneakers, a black facemask, and white gloves.

Public assistance is requested to help locate these individuals.
