NYPD Seeks Suspect in Armed Robbery of Teenager in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday morning in the 52nd Precinct.

At approximately 7:06 a.m. on September 11, 2024, a 14-year-old female victim was in front of 213 East 198th Street when an unidentified individual approached her from behind and snatched her necklace. When the victim turned to face the suspect, he displayed a firearm, prompting her to drop her cellphone. The suspect took both the necklace and cellphone, valued at approximately $2,600, and fled on foot, heading northbound on Valentine Avenue.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, approximately 27 to 33 years old, and was last seen wearing all black clothing.
