NYPD seeks suspect in internet cafe robbery

NEW YORK CITY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual involved in a robbery within the 72 Precinct.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 5, around 5:30 am at the Ni Feng Internet Cafe located at 4416 8 Avenue.

An unknown male knocked on the cafe door, brandished a firearm at the 21-year-old male employee who answered, and demanded entry. Once inside, the individual stole approximately $700 from the register and about $200 from the employee before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a light-complexioned male, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans, and white sneakers.
