NYPD seeks suspects in Brooklyn robbery near Liberty Avenue

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery in East New York’s 75th Precinct.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at approximately 5:34 a.m. near Liberty Avenue and Vermont Street. Police say a 24-year-old man was walking on the street when two unidentified individuals approached him, demanded money, and simulated having a firearm. The suspects then stole the victim’s cellphone and cash before fleeing on foot.

Authorities describe the first suspect as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a blue sweatshirt and black jacket. The second suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and red jacket.

The NYPD has released images of at least one of the suspects and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
