NYPD seeks suspects in citywide lottery ticket robbery spree

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery pattern targeting commercial establishments in Manhattan and Queens.

The first incident occurred on December 26, 2024, around 8:30 p.m. at a business located at 46 8th Avenue in Manhattan’s 6th Precinct. Police reported that two unidentified individuals entered the store, simulated a firearm, and stole approximately $2,100 worth of lottery tickets before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

The second incident took place on January 8, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m. in Queens within the 114th Precinct. Authorities stated that two suspects entered a store at 31-02 Broadway, displayed a firearm, and stole about $4,800 in lottery tickets. The suspects escaped on foot and were last seen entering the Broadway subway station. No injuries were reported.

The suspects are described as males with a medium complexion.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD as the investigation remains ongoing.

This robbery pattern has raised concerns over the safety of small businesses across multiple boroughs.
