NYPD seeks suspects in deadly December Queens weed robbery that left one man dead

QUEENS, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying multiple suspects connected to a fatal armed robbery in Queens.

Police said that on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:19 p.m., a group of unidentified individuals entered 41-19 Haight Street and held several victims at gunpoint.

The suspects forcibly stole multiple pounds of marijuana before opening fire, fatally shooting a 37-year-old man in the head and wounding a 42-year-old man in the cheek.

The 37-year-old victim was transported by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he was pronounced dead, while the 42-year-old victim was taken to the same hospital by private means and is in stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Dodge Durango and a gray Nissan Pathfinder.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and urge anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
