NYPD Seeks to Identify Suspects in Anti-Semitic Hate Crime

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating a robbery and assault that took place on Tuesday, January 2, at approximately 10:50 pm near Schenectady Avenue and Montgomery Street.

The incident involved a 30-year-old male victim and an unidentified male suspect.

Following a refusal to engage in conversation, the suspect made anti-Semitic remarks and physically assaulted the victim.

The assailant then stole the victim’s bag and watch before fleeing.

Described as 25 to 35 years old with a medium complexion and a possible forehead laceration, the suspect’s capture is a priority for the NYPD.
