NYPD suspects dad in death of 2-year-old daughter

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, a two-year-old girl in Brooklyn was killed after she was hit forcibly in the back of the head, according to the New York City Police Department. Now, police have arrested Robert Wright, 38, and charged him with manslaughter, assault, criminally negligent homicide, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Wright was arrested on Friday. the NYPD said it was his hand that killed the child inside their Osborn Street home in Brooklyn Tuesday night at around 10:30 am.

An autopsy on the child confirmed she had died from a traumatic brain injury, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said during his arraignment on Saturday.
