TOMS RIVER, N.J. – A 32-year-old man identified as Luis Edinson Ramirez-Gonzalez remains in custody at the Ocean County Jail after being charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and placed under a federal immigration detainer, according to county inmate records.

Ramirez-Gonzalez was committed to the facility on December 20 and is being held without bail pending a court appearance. The charge, under New Jersey Criminal Code 2C:21-6H, involves the unlawful use of a credit card and is classified as a fourth-degree offense.

U.S. Immigration authorities have lodged a detainer against him, meaning he could be transferred to federal custody upon completion of his county proceedings.
