Ocean County mourns passing of Detective Corporal Phil Sickinger

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of Detective Corporal Phil Sickinger, a 19-year veteran of the department who passed away Wednesday after battling ALS.

Detective Corporal Sickinger served with distinction in the Sheriff’s Office and was a member of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team. His dedication to public safety and his colleagues was evident throughout his career, earning him respect and admiration from those who worked alongside him.
