Off-Duty FDNY EMS Tech Arrested for Assault

FDNY Ambulance on scene to provide medical assistance to victims.

NEW YORK, NY – An off-duty FDNY EMS worker was arrested and charged with assault late Saturday night within the 13th Precinct.

The incident occurred at 11:21 PM on Saturday. The arrested individual, identified as 30-year-old Jason Shander, is an employee of the New York City Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services. Details of the assault have not been disclosed. Shander is currently facing assault charges following the arrest.
