Off-Duty NYC Corrections Officer Arrested for Multiple DUI Charges

NEW YORK, NY — An off-duty New York City Corrections Officer was arrested early Saturday morning on multiple charges related to driving under the influence. The arrest took place within the 121 Precinct at 3:57 AM.

Michael Bruij, a 39-year-old male and NYC Corrections Officer, faces several charges including Driving While Intoxicated: Alcohol or Drugs for the first, second, and third offenses, as well as Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs for the first time.

The case is currently under further investigation.
