NEW YORK — Darwin Mejia, a 38-year-old NYPD officer, was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges related to intoxicated driving within the 19th Precinct. The arrest occurred at approximately 2:46 AM.
Officer Mejia faces multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving While Ability Impaired. The incident involving the off-duty officer is currently under further investigation.
