MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A shooting incident early on Wednesday morning has prompted an investigation by Mercer County law enforcement.

The case unfolded around 3:40 a.m. when police officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Parkway Avenue and Stratford Avenue in Ewing.

During the stop, it was discovered that the driver had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim received immediate medical attention at a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.
