BOSTON, MA – At about 8:00 AM, on Friday, February 18, 2022, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a recovered firearm at 95 G Street, Excel High School in South Boston.
Upon arrival, officers were met by school staff members who stated they found a firearm in a students backpack during a routine security check. Officers safely recovered the firearm and located the student in Dorchester after he fled the school.
Anthony Chen, 18, of Boston was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
