One dead after car crashes into home in Clairton

CLAIRTON, PA – One person was killed in a motor vehicle crashed into a home in Clairton early Thursday morning.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding single-vehicle collision involving a house in the 500 block of N 8th Street at approximately 3:11 a.m.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered an adult male unresponsive in the passenger seat of the vehicle. As a result of injuries sustained in the collision, the driver was also transported to an area hospital and remains in stable condition.

After being transported to an area hospital, the driver was pronounced dead. Police did not release the names of victims at this time or what contributed to the crash.

Investigators from the homicide unit and the collision reconstruction unit have begun an investigation into the incident. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
