One Dead in Christmas Eve House Fire in Frostburg

FROSTBURG, MD – Authorities are currently investigating a fatal dwelling fire that occurred this morning in Frostburg, Allegany County. The incident, resulting in one casualty, was reported around 7 a.m. in the unit block of Lee Street.

Firefighters, upon arrival, faced a challenging situation with a person trapped inside the burning structure. Despite the rapid response and efforts of the emergency services, one victim was discovered at the scene. The Deputy State Fire Marshals have since been deployed to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

The operation is expected to be prolonged due to the structural collapse of the home, complicating the investigation process. Officials have emphasized the active and ongoing nature of the investigation, urging patience as they work to uncover the details of this tragic event.
