One Dead in Early Morning Shooting in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – A 33-year-old man from Paterson was fatally shot early Friday morning, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

Paterson Police Department officers responded to the scene at around 12:44 a.m., near Park Avenue and Straight Street, following a shooting report. They found the victim with a gunshot wound.

The unidentified man was quickly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Despite attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The investigation into the shooting is active, with no suspects currently identified. The motive for the incident is still being determined.
