One dead in Portland midnight shooting

PORTLAND, OR – On February 14, 2022, at 12:00 a.m., police officers from the East Precinct in Portland responded to a shooting call near the intersection of Southeast 124th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard. When officers arrived they located a male victim who was shot.

Officers provided emergency medical aid to the victim until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

Portland Police Homicide detectives have responded to the scene to investigate. The identity of the victim, as well as cause and manner of death will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner.
