One Dead in Shooting in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – A shooting in Southeast Washington resulted in a fatality, as confirmed by First District officers of the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident occurred on November 4, just before 4 p.m., on the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast. Officers arrived on the scene to find a man with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate response from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services and extensive life-saving attempts, the individual succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Charles Towles, a resident of Southeast, DC.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, with authorities gathering evidence and seeking information from the public. The Metropolitan Police Department has not released further details regarding potential suspects or motives at this time.
