LINDEN, NJ – A fatal crash involving two SUVs took place near the intersection of N. Wood Ave and W. Gibbons St this morning.
The Linden Police Department responded to the incident just after 10:00 a.m. Preliminary findings suggest that a GMC SUV was attempting a left turn onto W. Gibbons St when it collided with a Chevy SUV traveling south on N. Wood Ave.
The driver and four passengers of the Chevy were taken to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the GMC was transported to RWJUH Rahway hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Investigations are ongoing.
