One Dead, One Critical in Accokeek Crash

ACCOKEEK, MD – A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of 32-year-old Kayla Williams-Rawlinson of Upper Marlboro and left another passenger critically injured.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident that occurred on Saturday, at the intersection of Berry Road and Farmington Road E.

The preliminary investigation suggests the vehicle was traveling northbound on Berry Road when it veered off the road and struck a concrete culvert.

Williams-Rawlinson was pronounced deceased en route to the hospital, while the second passenger sustained critical injuries. The driver suffered minor injuries. Investigators are seeking information from the public to further the investigation.
