One dead, one injured in Suitland crash

SUITLAND, MD – A two-vehicle collision in Suitland on Saturday has left one person dead and another driver injured but in stable condition. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the incident.

On Saturday, at 1:40 am, officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Allentown Road in response to the accident.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim was traveling southbound on Allentown Road near Leon Street when, for reasons not yet determined, the vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a sedan. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
