One Dead, Three Injured After Shooting Erupts in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 27-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday morning in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast. Officers who were in the area around 2:18 a.m. heard multiple gunshots and discovered the victim, identified as Dee Monte Pernell Chase of Southeast, with gunshot wounds in front of a residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three additional victims—a man and two women—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
