TRENTON, N.J. — A 24-year-old man is dead and three others were injured following a drive-by shooting Thursday night on the 100 block of Passaic Street, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8:52 p.m., when a vehicle pulled up to a group of people standing outside, opened fire, then fled the scene. Four individuals were struck by gunfire — three adult males and a 16-year-old female.

All four victims were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where Karan Hunter, 24, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Preliminary findings from the Mercer County Homicide Task Force indicate that the attack was targeted but did not confirm any motive. The identities of the other three victims have not been released, and their conditions were not disclosed.

Investigation continues, no arrests reported

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force, in collaboration with the Trenton Police Department, is continuing the investigation. No arrests have been made as of Friday, and officials are asking for public assistance.
