One Hospitalized at Salem Gardens Shooting

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An altercation early Saturday in Winston-Salem escalated to a shooting at Salem Gardens Drive.

Winston-Salem police arrived around 7:30 a.m. to find 35-year-old Thomas Brown with gunshot wounds.

After being shot during a suspected forced entry into his apartment, Brown was hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition.

Police investigations suggest the shooting followed a dispute or physical confrontation in the building’s parking lot.

The police are pursuing leads in the ongoing investigation.
